ROBBIE IS WELL ABOVE AVERAGE
Cheshire’s
Robbie Green topped the March averages in
the Rileys BDO Inter-Counties Championships with what is believed to be
a record-breaking BICC single dart average of 42.94 (which equates to a
128.82 three-dart average).
Not
surprisingly, this won him the BDO’s March award for the highest average
in the Premier Division of the BICC.
Robbie, who was runner-up in the 2009 Winmau World
Masters, will be in the
England
12-man team which will compete in the 2010 BDO British Internationals at
The Spa, Bridlington on April 10th and 11th.
As further confirmation of the standard of play
(and players) in the BDO County system, Micky Reed (Beds) topped
Division 1 with a 31.31 single darts average, and by an amazing
coincidence the Division 2 Award was shared by Paul Hogan (Berks) and
Daniel Willimott (Suffolk) with identical 31.31 single dart averages.
John Elliott of Northants ‘B’ claimed the Division
3 Award with a 32.67 single darts average, and congratulations go to
Paul Rowley (Shrops) with a 33.40 single dart average to win the
Division 4 top average award, and not to be outdone Alan Norris, playing
for East Stirlingshire recordeda 32.67 single darts average to win the Scotland North top
average award, and Ross Montgomery (E. Renfrewshire) hit a magnificent
34.95 single darts average to win the top average award for Scotland
South.
The women’s averages for March were equally
impressive, with Olive Byamukama of Lancashire
recording an impressive 29.47 single dart average to top the Premier
Division averages.
In Division 1, Cathryn Campbell (Dorset)
won the award with 25.91; Kerry Simmons (London)
headed Division 2 with 23.86; Gaynor Williams (Gwynedd) topped Division
3 with 22.77; Julie Gore (Pembrokeshire) headed Division 4 with 22.43;

Valley) was Scotland North winner with 22.77
