Three-time former women’s champion Anastasia Dobromyslova sailed through to the semi-finals with a straight sets victory over Aileen de Graaf. The Russian was runner-up to Lisa Ashton in 2018 but will be looking to go one step further and seal the fourth BDO Women’s World Championship title of her career.

She began the match in fantastic form, taking the opening set with a spectacular 85 average, despite de Graaf getting a leg on the board. The second set wouldn’t quite be plain sailing for Dobromyslova either, a second 180 giving her a cushion, but de Graaf held on with every visit. After a spell of pressure from the Dutch number one, the three-time champion would nail the double to set up a tie with Lorraine Winstanley in the semi-finals. The two entered the tournament as number one and number five seed respectively, so expect some excellent arrows come Friday evening.
