BICC Scotland North Results Review

BICC Scotland North

In what was an opening weekend of fixtures with only 3 matches it’s defending Scotland North champions Fife who top the division. Fife, whose Colin Miller top averaged with 29.46 dominated Central in a 26-10 win. In the other 2 matches, Tay Valley won away to Perthshire 21-15 as Steve Heenan notched 28.36 and East Stirlingshire were victorious over Highland, also 21-15 with Jamie Bain reaching 29.47.

Breaking down the leagues we see Fife topping the Men’s A section while Tay Valley lead the Women’s A and Women’s B. The early Men’s B leaders are Perthshire on 7 points ahead of East Stirlingshire. Remember Grampian and Clackmannanshire are still to face off and Angus had a bye this week,

The individuals who deserve mentioning are for the Men’s A, Jamie Bain of East Stirlingshire who has a DAVE of 30.47, Colin Miller of Fife who scored 30.46 and Duncan Hastings, also of East Stirlingshire with 28.78. Steve Heenan as previous mentioned, topped the Men’s B for Tay Valley with 29.36.

The Women’s A is led by Highland’s Olive Byamukama, 22.17, second was Gemma Kerr, East Stirlingshire, 20.27 and rounding the top 3 was Moira Coughlin of Tay Valley who notched 19.85. For the Women’s B the early leader was Elaine Keith also of Tay Valley 17.30.
