Lakeside Best: Quarter-Finals 2011
The 2012 Winmau World Masters Champion ( he is the only male player to have won the Winmau Boys title 2001 and now the World Masters) his first major title. Just a few weeks later he won two more major titles, the Sunparks Masters and the Zuiderduin Masters. Remarkably, he did not qualify for the 2012 World Pro, but his road to Lakeside2013 has included four singles titles in the last 12 months: Top of Ghent, Welsh Classic, Granite City Open and the England Classic England Classic (which he also won in 2010). He was also runner-up in the BDO British Classic and Mariflex Open. A proud England International, he won the Man of Match Award in the victorious 2010 BDO British Internationals with an outstanding 35.63 single darts average in England's match against Scotland. He was only 18 when he made his debut as the youngest player in the 2004 Lakeside World Pro and is a former BDO Young Player of the Year and British Teenage Champion. A player since the age of 12, he enjoys football, fishing, snooker and computing. He became a father for the first time in July 2012, when his son Toby was born.

His road to Lakeside 2013 includes winning the 2012 Mariflex Open and Semi-Final spots in the 2011 Winmau World Masters, British Classic and Zuiderduin Masters. He is three times Men’s World Master 2008, 2009 and 2010, and three times World Pro Champion 2007, 2010 and 2011, he was 2010 and 2011 Dutch Open Champion. He is also the .nine times British Pentathlon Champion. In 2012 he captained England Men to victory in the Six Nations Cup and the BDO British Internationals (a repeat of 2010 and 2011) .He led England Men to WDF Europe Cup success in 2010 and also won the Europe Cup Pairs title with Scott Waites. He won the same title in 2009 with John Walton and has now done so with three different partners. He is England’s most capped player and its longest serving captain. A Semi-Finalist in the 2011 Winmau World Masters, his numerous titles are too many to list, but he has made more Lakeside appearances than any other player – this will be his 20th consecutive Lakeside.

The 2012 Top of Ghent and Czech Open Champion, he was 2011 Winmau World Masters Champion (Quarter-Finalist 2010) and his road to the Lakeside includes the 2011 Zuiderduin Masters title and 2011 BDO Gold Cup Pairs and 2012 British Open Pairs Champion (with Garry Thompson). His titles also include the 2011 Swedish Open, 2011 BDO British Open and the 2011 WDF Wold Cup Men’s Singles titles. He was runner-up in the 2011 Turkish Open Men’s Singles and a Semi-Finalist in the Men’s Pairs. He is also 2010 Czech Open, Turkish Open Singles and Pairs Champion and Grand Slam Of Darts Champion (runner-up in 2009). A Quarter-Finalist in the 2009 Zuiderduin Masters, he was runner-up in the 2009 BDO British Classic. He won the 2008 Swedish Open, 2008 BDO Gold Cup Men’s Singles and 2008 Belgium Open. He played for England in the 2009 WDF World Cup in America and in the victorious 2010 WDF Europe Cup, when he won the Pairs title with Martin Adams, and the 2011 WDF World Cup where he won Team and Men’s Singles Gold Medals. The 2009 and 2012 Lakeside World Pro runner-up (Semi-Finalist 2004), he was also runner-up in the 2012 Winmau World Masters. He is 2012 Dutch Open and Polish Open Champion and was 2011 Northern Ireland Open Champion and 2009 Scottish Open, BDO International Open, Welsh Classic and Turkish Open Champion. And just for good measure he was 2009 WDF World Cup Singles Champion. Runner-up in the 2009 England Open and a Semi-Finalist in the 2009 Winmau World Masters, he was a Quarter-Finalist in the Grand Slam of Darts. One of his memorable highlights came in the 2007 International Darts League when he hit a 9-darter and won a sports car (Opel Tigra) on his 46th birthday! His numerous successes include runner-up spots in the 2011 German Open and Swedish Open, and Semi-Finals in the 2011 England Open and Dutch Open, plus a Semi-Final spot in the 2010 Zuiderduin Masters and Quarter-Finalist 2012. . The 2011 Scottish Open and 2011 Center Parcs Masters Men’s Singles Champion, he is 2012 England National Singles and Belgium Open Champion and was runner-up in the 2012 BDO British Open and Scottish Open and also runner-up in the 2009 Winmau World Masters.. He was 2010 Northern Ireland Open Men’s Singles Champion (Quarter-Finalist 2011) and a Semi-Finalist in the 2011 England Masters and runner-up in the 2010 Zuiderduin Masters. The 2009 Winmau World Masters and Welsh Masters runner-up, he was a Semi-Finalist in the Northern Ireland Open and a Quarter-Finalist in the UK Open. He’s a Cheshire County player and who recorded an incredible 42.94 single-dart average during the 2010 Inter-County season. A proud England International, he enjoys fishing, golf, boxing and football and supports his home town of Liverpool FC.

He was runner-up in the England Masters and England Open and a Semi-Finalist in the British Open and Zuiderduin Masters. He was runner-up in the Isle-of-Man Open Men’s Pairs and German Open Men’s Pairs (with Martin Adams). Having made his Lakeside debut at just 20 in 2011, he reached the Semi-Finals. He is the 2012 BDO British Classic Singles Champion and the 2011 Mariflex Open Champion. He was a Semi-Finalist in the BDO British Open, German Open, Welsh Open and Zuiderduin Masters. He was also a Quarter-Finalist in the BDO British Classic and reached the Last 16 of the 2010 Winmau World Masters. He’s a student who made an impact last year by playing in a jacket. He enjoys poker and soccer.

Winner of the England Open and Swiss Open, he made his debut in the 2012 Lakeside World Pro and reached the Semi-Final. He was also a Semi-Finalist in the 2012 Winmau World Masters and 2011 Isle of Man Open. He’s one of the tallest players in darts and one of his characteristics is wearing gloves before he plays (he has naturally cold hands and wears the gloves to make his hand sweaty and improve the grip!). His nickname comes from the fact that he is an electrician by trade!

He was runner-up in the 2011 Czech Open and German Open. A Semi-Finalist in the 2011 Antwerp Open and a Quarter-Finalist in the 2011 Swiss Open and Top of Ghent. He's also Welsh Masters and French Open Champion. He was a Semi-Finalist in the 2009 Zuiderduin Masters and 2009 British Open Pairs Champion. When he lived in Sweden he was their No.1 in 2007 and 2008. He was also 2007 Swedish Master and a Semi-Finalist in the 2007 Finland Open, 2008 Welsh Open and Welsh Classic. He made his Lakeside debut in 2000 and had to wait until 2010 to make his comeback! His 2011 successes include runner-up in the Latvia Open, a Semi-Final spot in the Mariflex Open and Luxembourg Open, and Quarter-Final places in the Scottish Open and BDO British Open. He also reached the Last 16 in the 2011 Isle of Man Open, German Open and England Classic. A member of the victorious England team in the 2010 BDO British Internationals (having won his first England cap in the Internationals at Lakeside in 1999) he was a Semi-Finalist in the 2010 Dutch Open. A product of the BDO youth system, his first major success came at the European Youth Championships in 1995, when he competed in the very first England youth side and went on to win the Boys Singles at just 17. He has a very impressive County record, having made over 100 appearances for both Kent and London with many ‘man of the match’ performances. He is co-owner and administrator of the BDO Players Forum.’

He made his Lakeside debut in 2012 as the only player from Belgium to play on the famous stage - and now he's back as a Seed! He is German Open Champion and was a Quarter-Finalist in the 2011 WDF World Cup Men’s Singles, 2011 Dutch Open, 2011 German Open and 2011 Romanian Open, and a Semi-Finalist in the 2011 French Open. A proud International who has played in WDF Europe and World Cups, he’s been a player for 16 years and his favourite football team is Barcelona.

The son of Bobby George, Richie started playing darts at the age of 2 and made his debut in the Boys World Masters at the age of 14 shortly after being diagnosed with diabetes. He has enjoyed a remarkable year and his seeding position has been earned with his competition results in 2012. This includes being runner-up in the BDO International Open, Semi-Final spots in the Swiss Open and Welsh Masters and a Quarter-Final position in the Finland Open. This will be his debut in the World Pro and he has his own business as a qualified instructor in the management of violence and aggression.

MARK BARILLI, Scotland: Born 14/11/73. Lives in Greenock.
LAKESIDE BEST: First Round 2009, 2010 and 2011.
The 2008 Scottish Masters Champion made his Lakeside debut in 2009 and has never progressed past the First Round. In 2012 he was a Quarter Finalist in the Granite City Open and a Semi-Finalist in the England Masters and Swedish Open. He also reached the Last 16 in the Welsh Open and is a proud Scotland International.
JASON CULLEN, Republic of Ireland. Born 11/6/88. Lives in Enniscorthy, Co.Wexford.
LAKESIDE BEST: DEBUT 2013
The two-times Irish National and Irish Masters Champion, he is the Irish No.2 and is a proud International (capped 39 times) who has represented the Republic of Ireland in the WDF Europe Cup Youth in 2004 and was runner-up in the Singles. He also played in the WDF World Cup in Perth and in 2012 he was in his national team for the WDF Europe Cup and the Six Nations Cup. A stonemason by profession, he has been playing for 12 years and enjoys horse-riding and hunting.

Nickname: The Incredible.

After winning through the tough International Play-Offs in Hull, he more than lived up to his nickname of 'The Incredible' with what can only be described as an incredible performance in the 2012 Winmau World Masters. With a flamboyant stage presence and unusual throwing style, he beat Martin Adams in the Last 32 and was enthusiastically supported by his sister, darts player Rachna David. A player for only 6 years, his road to Lakeside 2013 included being crowned 2012 Isle-of-Man Open Champion and Romanian Open Champion. He was a Quarter-Finalist in the Welsh Open, BDO International Open, Mariflex Open, England Masters and Welsh Masters, and reached the Last 16 in the Belgium Open, Antwerp Open, Granite City Open and BDO British Classic.
JIMMY HENDRIKS (Netherlands). Born 19/3/94. Lives in Castricum, The Netherlands

An outstanding player who has come through the Dutch youth system and enjoyed wins in the WDF World Cup and Europe Cup Youth and was also 2011 Winmau Boys Master and 2011 Zuiderduin Masters Youth Champion. In 2012 he was crowned Lithuanian Open Champion and enjoyed Quarter-Final places in the German Open, Welsh Masters and Swiss Open. He's a bit of a Pairs specialist who has enjoyed 2012 victories in the Isle-of-Man Pairs (with Tony O' Shea, the England Open Pairs (with Brian Dawson) and the German Open Pairs (with Scott Mitchell). Still only 18, he has already been playing for 9 years and has his own darts range for Target Darts. Away from the oche he supports Ajax.

A Lakeside debut ant in 2012, he went on to win the 2012 Denmark Open and was 2011 Finland Open, Swiss Open and Latvia Open Singles Champion. A Semi-Finalist in the 2011 Welsh Open and a Quarter-Finalist in the 2011 BDO British Open, 2011 Swedish Open and 2010 Center Parcs Masters. A scaffolder by trade, he has been playing darts for 16 years and enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife and children.

Having made his Lakeside debut in 2012 as a qualifier, he played sensationally and emerged as the 2012 Lakeside World Champion at the first attempt. Runner-up in the 2011 Swiss Open, he also earned points in the 2011 German and 2011 Belgium Open. He was a Quarter-Finalist in the 2011 Top of Ghent. His best results of 2012 came in the Belgium Open when he was runner-up and a Semi-Final place in the Mariflex Open. He's now been playing for 14 years and is a Dutch International who is a road worker by trade. He supports Ajax and enjoys holidaying in Spain.

He is 2011 and 2012 Hungarian Open Champion, and was runner-up in the 2012 Dutch Open and a Quarter-Finalist in the BDO British Open and International Open. A Semi-Finalist in the 2011 BDO British Classic and 2011 Polish Open, he was 2010 Isle-of-Man Open Singles Champion. He plays virtually every night in Superleagues, local leagues and teams, as well as practicing every day. Still only 19, he made his Lakeside debut as the No.14 Seed in 2012, but was beaten by Alan Norris in the opening round. He is 2011 German Open Champion and was a Semi-Finalist in the 2011 England Open, Scottish Open, BDO International Open and the Swiss Open. He was also a Quarter-Finalist in the 2011 Dutch Open and 2011 Czech Open and made the Last 16 in the 2011 Center Parcs Masters, Antwerp Open and Mariflex Open. A player for only 7 years he enjoys Spanish holidays and supporting his favourite football clubs, Eindhoven and Liverpool. He’s a student who is studying accountancy, so he’s good with numbers!

A proud Dutch International, he was a member of Holland’s victorious 2009 WDF World Cup winning team, and also the 2008 WDF Europe Cup Silver Medal winning team. Winner of the 2008 Norway Open. A carpenter by trade his ambitions are to win the Lakeside and Winmau World Masters titles.

Having made his debut in 2012 after coming through the tough Lakeside International Qualifiers in Hull, this year he had to wait agonisingly for the 2012 Winmau World Masters Champion to be already qualified for Lakeside - and No.1 Seed Stephen Bunting duly obliged! He was runner-up in the 2012 Welsh Classic and a Semi-Finalist in the Lithuanian Open. He has only been playing for 5 years and is an East Renfrewshire county player who has made three International appearances for Scotland. He’s a fencer (of the garden variety!) by trade and enjoys golf and supporting Rangers FC.

Now given the nickname 'The Recliner' by his fellow players (because he is known as the most laid-back player in darts. He is 2012 Swedish Open Champion and was a Semi-Finalist in the German Open and Belgium Open. 2011 BDO Gold Cup Pairs Champion (with Scott Waites) he was runner-up in the 2011 BDO British Classic and 2011 French Open. He was also a Semi-Finalist in the 2011 German Open, BDO International Open and 2011 Czech Open. He won the Man of Match award in England’s victorious 2010 BDO British Internationals team, with a 31.31 average in the match against Wales. An engineer by trade, other than darts he enjoys football and horse-racing.

He has the distinction of recording three 9-Darters in important competition: He is the only player to have hit one in the history of the Winmau World Masters (2007), his next was in the 2009 Antwerp Open, and his third in the 2010 Six Nations Cup in Ireland. The latter created a record because it was achieved in a on-leg format and was the first ever recored by an England International.
