Mikuru Suzuki stormed into the semi-finals of the BDO Women’s World Professional Darts Championship as she defeated the Netherland’s Sharon Prins 2-0 in a hard-fought match-up.
The Japanese sensational defeated three-time World Champion Lisa Ashton on the opening day of the tournament and claimed another scalp in number seven seed Sharon Prins. Despite the scoreline, Suzuki will know there is plenty of room for improvement in the semi-final after what she considered a poor performance against Prins.
After a scrappy first set, Suzuki would improve in the second set of the match. A first 180 in the fourth leg of the match was enough to open up a gap as Prins struggled to find her scoring game. Following her double trouble in the first set, she cleaned up much better as she progressed to the final four. Continuing her magnificent debut year on the Frimley Green stage.
