Get Well Soon RAY STUBBS

The BDO sends best wishes to Ray Stubbs for a speedy recovery following news of his heart condition. Ray has presented BDO darts (both World Pro and World Masters) for the BBC and more recently ESPN.

Ray told us: “A recent health check revealed a rare heart condition that I was born with and the advice of the medical team helping me is that some corrective surgery is needed to get it fixed.

"I am very appreciative of their professionalism and I plan to be back at work as soon as is possible. Grateful thanks go to all my friends and colleagues at ESPN who have been so supportive in helping me get this sorted out.”

In a statement ESPN said: “Ray is an integral part of ESPN. While he is temporarily sidelined our top priority is to support him so he can have a full and speedy recovery. We’re already looking forward to his return to the desk next season, and in the meantime the rest of our great team will continue meeting the highest standards that Ray has helped us set.”
