	WDF EUROPE CUP 2008: DAY 2
	The Home Countries had a better day on day two of the WDF Europe Cup with England Captain Martin Adams and defending Champion Mark Webster qualifying for Saturday's Semi-Finals where they will meet in the second Semi-Final. Scotland's John Henderson reached the Quarter-Finals where he fell to Mark Webster by 4 legs to 2. Of the other Home Countries players only Scotland's Paul Hanvidge made the last 16. In the Men's Pairs the England pair of Martin Adams and John Walton will contest Saturday's Final following a 4-2 Semi-Final win over Magnus Caris and Markus Korhonen from Sweden. Scotland's Paul Hanvidge and John Henderson made the Semi-Finals where they fell to Marko Kantele and Jarkko Komula from Finland. England's Lisa Ashton will contest tomorrows Women's Singles Semi-Finals where she will meet Scotland's Susanna Young. Both had good Quarter-Final wins with Lisa defeating carina Ekberg 4-0 and Susanna winning 4-1 against Russia's Irina Armstrong. Scotland's Louise Hepburn will contest the second-Semi-Final following a great 4-3 win over Dutch comet Carla Molema. Julie Gore and Jan Robbins of Wales both lost in the last 16 and both lost by the closest of margins, 4-3.

	BDO SUPPORTS JOHN SMITH’S PEOPLE’S DARTS
	John Smith’s, an official sponsor of the BDO Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships, is launching a groundbreaking amateur darts tournament that will give club and pub players the chance to take centre stage at the 2009 World Championships and play to win a £15,000 prize for charity, £1,000-worth of games equipment for their ‘local’, plus a week in Spain for two people at the BDO Torremolinos Open next March. WDF EUROPE CUP 2008: DAY 1

The Welsh Women's Pair of Jan Robbins and Julie Gore were the only British team to make Saturday's Finals from today's events at the WDF Europe Cup which started in Copenhagen today.

In the Women's Pairs Scotland were beaten 4-1 by Wales in the Semi-Final while England suffered a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Sweden in the Quarter-Finals.

Scotland produced the best performance in the Men's Team Event. They reached the Semi-Finals before suffering a narrow 9-8 defeat at the hands of host nation Denmark. Both Wales and England reached the Quarter-Finals where England succumbed to Scotland 8-9 while Wales were beaten by Germany 9-7.

The Cup continues tomorrow with the Women's Singles and the Men's Singles and Pairs.

	BDO BRITISH CHAMPIONS CUP 2008
	Lord Conyers Hotel, representing Yorkshire won the BDO British Champions Cup with a comprehensive 8 - 1 victory over Tipton Social Club from the West Midlands. The Women's title went to Swinton Ladies from Lancashire with a 5 - 2 win over Bletchley Pros who represented Bedfordshire. Complete results can be found on the links below. Men Women

2009 BDO LAKESIDE WORLD PROFESSIONAL INVITATION TABLES

The cut-off date in the BDO Invitation Tables for the 2009 BDO Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships will be the day after the New Zealand Masters – October 13^th, 2008.

This means that BDO and WDF players have the opportunity to earn valuable ranking points in the following events:

WDF EUROPE CUP: AUGUST 27-30

DENMARK OPEN: AUGUST 31

BDO BRITISH OPEN: SEPTEMBER 20

FRENCH OPEN: SEPTEMBER 27-28

WELSH MASTERS: OCTOBER 10-12

NEW ZEALAND MASTERS: OCTOBER 11-12

The 2009 BDO Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships will be played at Lakeside Country Club, Frimley Green from Saturday, January 3^rd to Sunday, January 11^th 2009 and televised by BBC Sport.

The first tournament to be included in the BDO Invitation Tables for the 2010 BDO Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships will be the Klondike Open to be played in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on October 10-12, 2008.

Young players from 10 different Counties in the UK found their way to Aberdeen for the Second Grampian Youth Open There were five separate classes and reports tell us that everyone had a fantastic weekend of darts. The event was Sponsored by The Station Hotel, Aberdeen. Results from the Finals were as follows:

	BELGIUM OPEN 2008

		Dee Bateman and Scott Waites landed the Singles titles at this year's Belgium Open. Dee defeated Rilana Erades from the Netherlands 4-3. Scotty came through a field of over 520 players before getting the better of local star Johnny Petermans with a 4-2 win.

	Our service providers in the USA have been experiencing severe problems with some of their servers and have been unable to keep our site online for long periods recently. We have decided to move the site to a new service provider using servers in the UK. This will mean that more "down time" may be experienced until the move is completed which should be before the weekend.
